The history of Uzbekistan
The history of Uzbekistan is rich, it goes back thousands of years. According to archaeologists, this is one of the oldest human habitats. It is certain that the area was inhabited long before our era, back in the Early Paleolithic, as evidenced by the finds presented by dwellings in the Baysun-Tau mountains and tools from Samarkand. Neanderthals lived here in the Late Paleolithic; the tombs found in the Teshik-Tash cave belong to the mother culture.
Over the millennia, great empires were created and disintegrated on the territory of our country, which left an indisputable mark on the history and culture of Uzbekistan.
