Profile
Premkunj Homestay
Destination
The Aravallis are one of the oldest fold mountain ranges in the world, and offer a lush landscape that is visible from the city of Udaipur. The mountains ensure that the Thar Desert doesn’t spread in to Eastern Rajasthan thus acting as a barrier and allowing for a thriving diversity of flora and fauna. On the outskirts of Udaipur, lies Badi Village – the location of Premkunj, a picturesque rural settlement with the Aravallis as the backdrop and the Sajjangarh Reserve nearby.
Perfectly Rare
Ensconced in the rustic hamlet of Badi, flanked by the majestic Aravalli hills and the Sajjangarh Reserve, this picturesque hideaway allows visitors to explore Udaipur, beyond just lakes and palaces.
Know Your Host
An avid traveller, Bhupendra Singh Chundawat always had big dreams. Having experienced his share of the world, he always dreamt of a luxurious homestay that went beyond just providing the best of services and amenities; he wanted to provide an unforgettable experience to all his guests. He chanced upon the clearing where Premkunj stands today, and the picturesque windswept location at the very fringe of the Sajjangarh Reserve flanked by the majestic Arravallis was all the push he needed to bring the homestay to fruition. Whenever he gets a little time to himself, he enjoys travelling, listening to music, collecting rare and exquisite artefacts or horse-riding, as he is a Polo enthusiast and has wielded the mallet at quite a few games.
Design & Concept
Premkunj is surrounded by hills and the overall ambiance of the hotel is a visual treat. It allows explorations of Udaipur as it is a mere 20 minutes from the city centre. Turning a dream of a homestay in to a reality, Bhupendra Singh Chundawat spent two years building and bringing his vision to life. The attention to detail is evident in its colonial architecture, the tastefully done interiors, the hand-picked art and artefacts, and in the hospitality provided.
