Located barely 12KM from Mudigere town, this restored traditional Malnad home is set amidst a sprawling 125 year old coffee plantation. Ideally suited for a family or small a small group (4-6 people), this self-contained 2 bedroom unit is located close to the main bungalow where your hosts reside.

While you relax & unwind, watch the farm workers go about their routine, take a walk through the lush plantation and learn about the art of growing coffee and also spices like cardamom and pepper. During season (Jan-Mar), see the coffee being dried to perfection in the large drying yard. Savor traditional Malnad food during your stay with us and if you happen to visit us during monsoon, you will be treated to some very unique seasonal delicacies.

Mesmerizing views of the western ghats with breathtaking sunsets, temples that are several hundred years old (including one that dates back to 2100 years ago) are only a short drive away through meandering roads in the hills lined by coffee estates on either side. Your hosts will be glad to arrange a visit upon request. The home has all modern amenities including a western style toilet and has yet retained the traditional design such as high clay-tiled ceilings, a wood fired bath where water is heated in a copper vessel which magically soothes aches and fatigue!

Camp

The western ghats is a trekkers paradise. A trek to JENUKALLU mountain, which is the second highest peak in Karnataka will be the most memorable experience. From the top of Jenukallu Mountain on a clear day, one can see the coast of Arabian Sea in Mangalore. you will be on top of the world after climbing the peak of JENUKALLU. Enjoy the beautiful sunset and sunrise and of course the mesmerizing landscape of Western Ghats. View from the peak: One side of the peak is completely covered by the dense Kabbinale forests. Ettina Bhuja, Amedikallu, Ombattu Gudda is also visible.
