Coorg enjoys more or less a moderate climate all through the year.
The monsoon commences in the month of June and continues till the end of September. Coorg gets heavy rainfall from the southwest monsoon, which lasts from June to September. Northeast monsoon begins from early October and lasts till November. Coorg is known for its heavy rainfall during the monsoon. It is cold and wet during this season. The average rainfall is 110 inches in the district. People visiting during this time are advised to carry warm clothing and umbrellas. But the sight of the hills and valleys drenched & draped in mist and the swollen brooks, rivers and waterfalls are a sight to behold.
With the onset of the monsoons the vegetation becomes lush green and you can view man a seasonal waterfall while driving through Coorg.
Summers are slightly warm and the temperature is 25-30o Celcius. By the end of February and early March, Coorg gets the blossom showers. Because of these unique showers in Chikmagalur & Coorg, coffee is grown abundantly in these regions. During this time the coffee blossoms fill the air with their heavenly fragrance and the coffee plants look like they have been laden with snow.
The best season to visit Coorg is between September and March….
