The homestay built in the local vernacular style of architecture is completely environment friendly and does not leave behind any carbon foot print. The whole house is built strong by only bamboo, earth and stone. All materials procured from about 5 km radius to stay in line with sustainability concepts.
The homestay derives its electric power from the hydroelectric plant in the plantation itself during the monsoon and plans are on to procure solar panels for power during the summers.
The whole coffee plantation is at your service during your stay. Crosshill homestay houses only one cottage, so its you and your estate. Take a stroll through the plantation trails to know about coffee that you sip during your hectic working hours. Also learn about the spices ( pepper and cardamom ) as you walk along the plantation.
Silently watch the birds as they move swiftly across the plantation. As you come back to the homestay sip on the best home grown coffee. Vegetables straight from the local Organic Farm.
Fish from the nearby dams and meat from the local poultry farms.
Sit alone on top of rocks or with your group and attain enlightenment. Bushy Coffee plants, Crawled up pepper creepers, erect tropical trees or shrubby cardamom plants Or simply Gaze at the the verdant paddy fields.
Get buried in water up to your knee or shoulder in the nearby Stream and laze around.
