Presentation of the General Overview of Agriculture in Brazil, in the State of Minas Gerais and in specific about the Coffee and Pepper crops in the State.

VISIT TO THE MUNICIPAL MARKET OF BELO HORIZONTE- commercialization, demand, sales volume of the numerous varieties of peppers marketed locally as well as coffee, grains and milled.
VISIT TO A GOURMET COFFEE SHOP meet specialists to talk about the preparation and trade of coffee with value added by quality seals and coffee blends.

Day 4: BELO HORIZONTE – PIRANGA

Meet EMATER – Company of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension – and then with the Ministry of Agriculture Topic of discussion about Pepper and Coffee in Minas Gerais , water management system in agriculture etc
Drive to Piranag Approx 170Kms, drive time 4hrs
Enroute stop at Congonhas for lunch at a local restaurant
Arrive Piranga continue visit to one of the main pepper farm in Brazil followed by a visit to a pepper processing unit.

Day 5: PIRANGA/ORATORIOS/S.J DEL REI

Drive down to Oratórios – approx. 115 km, drive time 2hrs
On arrival – Visit of the experimental fields of EPAMIG (Agricultural Research Company of Minas Gerais)
Presentation of the work carried out by EPAMIG in the research on the cultivation of Pepper and Coffee.
General presentation of EPAMIG.
Presentation on the most innovative technologies for the production of coffee and Pepper in Brazil.
Presentation of new technologies developed.
Demonstration on site of the new technologies developed for the coffee cultivation

Drive to Ouro Preto – approx.100 km, drive time 2hrs 15mins drive
Upon arrival proceed on a City Tour in Ouro Preto – known for wealth that coffee production brought to Brazil and talk about the Historical and Cultural side of Coffee Production in Brazil and its importance in our History. Later proceed to São João Del Rei – approx. 160 km , drive time – 02h40

Day 6: SÃO JOAO DEL REI/VARGINHA

Day 8: VARGINHA/RIO DE JANEIRO

Drive to Carmo de Minas – approx. 110 km, drive time 01h40
Visit to the centennial farm which has been recognized for producing “The Best Coffee in the World”. With brief explanations of the whole production chain of special coffee, from the plant to the spoon and finally, a delicious tasting of specialty coffees accompanied by delicacies and cheese breads in the showroom of Unique Cafés Especiais.

Day 9: RIO DE JANEIRO

Full day Corcovado & Sugar Loaf – Proceed for a tour of Corcovado Mountain and Beaches. Board a cog train from Cosme Velho Station for a ride to Corcovado Mountain to visit one of the worlds most famous landmarks, the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer. Experience the 20 minutes steep train journey which takes you through the dense Atlantic rain forest of Tijuca offering a wonderful opportunity for a closer look at the forest’s lush tropical vegetation and to enjoy scenic landscapes of the beaches and city. You will disembark at the top of Corcovado and then proceed up the steps that lead to the top lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Get up-close to Christ the Redeemer and spend some time viewing the panoramic view of this beautiful city of Rio from the incredible mountain-top vantage point. Then, you will descend by the train. The tour continues passing by Rio’s world-famous beaches.

After lunch, you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where one of the largest symbols of the city is located: Sugar Loaf. You will travel all the way to the top in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes us to Urca Hill, a vantage point 215 meters high for which already grants beautiful views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, and Corcovado Mountain. From this stage, a second cable car takes us up to the top. At 395 meters, we will enjoy splendid views of Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress, and several beaches of Niterói. After riding the Cable car back down, return to the hotel.

Day 10 RIO – IGUASSU

Upon arrival proceed on a Half day Brazilian SIDE OF THE FALLS (5 hours) – Located in front of hotel Belmond Cataracts, the tour follows with a walking time through the most important track of the park where the participants could enjoy an astonishing view of the waterfalls

Experience Macuco Safari – Transfer to the Macuco Trail in the Iguassu National Park to board electric mobile, the best form of transportation in this rain forest due to the unpaved but accessible the year around. On this trip, the participants will get to know several and different species of sub-tropical plants and trees, including orchids and the heart-of-palm, which grow in abundance here.
Luckly, animals and some of the beautiful birds of the region will appear during the trip. After a 3 kilometers jeep ride, the tour continues to a 600 meters on foot to the picturesque Macuco Falls, hidden in the forested canyon. The trail brings us to the banks of the Iguassu River, to board a twin-engine inflatable boat with capacity of 12 to 20 passengers each, specially designed for the local river conditions.
Birds Park – Located at the entrance of the National Park Bird Park is an ecological sanctuary, linking ecotourism with conservation. Huge nurseries provide a basic understanding of some 900 birds, 150 species. Brazilian birds predominate, but there are species of Australia, Africa and Asia represented. It also develops a recognized work of education, research and Environmental conservation. Other attractions include a butterfly nursery with approximately 25 species of reptiles, where you can see snakes and alligators are just a few meters away from the watchful Eyes. Day 11: IGUASSU SAO PAULO

Visit to Itaipu Dam – The greatness of a historic feat of human construction is that the immersion experience of knowing Itaipu Dam allows. Feel small in front of a gigantic engineering project, which can be admired up close, is part of this tour.
The Itaipu Hydroelectric Plant is recognized as one of the greatest works of modern engineering, the largest hydroelectric power plant in production in the world, and for a long time, was also the largest in size. A monumental building which today is one of the main attractions of Foz do Iguaçu

DAY 12 SAO PAULO DEPART

Full day City tour – starting at the Jardins district, Paulista Avenue and some of his attractions, such as the Parque Trianon, the MASP and the Casa das Rosas. We will continue towards the Ibirapuera Park (stop to photos) and the attractions around, as the Monumento as Bandeiras (Flags Monument), Obelisk, Legislative Assembly and 23 de Maio Avenue. We will also visit the Historical Center of São Paulo, where the Sé Cathedral, the College Páteo, Sao Bento Monastery, Anhangabaú Valley Municipal Theatre, Republic Square, São Caetano Street (Street of Brides), Pinacoteca and Municipal Market, where we will stop to meet this popular place for city residents. Visitors enjoy its sumptuous architecture, or try traditional Mortadela sandwich (no meals included). We will continue our tour with a visit to the Football Museum, where visitors will have access to a sequence of visual and sound experiences of last generation, who considered the sport and Brazilian life in the twentieth century, of Curiosities room, with information about the sport and the Body Game, where one tests the power of the kick, watching plays in slow motion and see what happens in the athlete’s body when it is playing. At the end of the tour, the guests will be brought back to the International Airport to take their flight back to India
